Watch Steve Ballmer’s farewell to Microsoft
Rarely will you get a CEO who is so passionate about their company. Sure, you get CEO’s that are passionate, but they never show it. Steve Ballmer on the other hand is someone who was never ashamed to let the world know that he worked for the best company in the entire world, Microsoft.
During a Microsoft staff meeting at Seattle’s KeyArena on September 26th, Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer gave his final presentation, touting the company’s future and being emotional the entire time.
“We have unbelievable potential in front of us, we have an unbelievable destiny. Only our company and a handful of others are poised to write the future. We’re going to think big, we’re going to bet big,” an emotional Steve Ballmer stated during the meeting.
The four minute video appeared online earlier today and truly expresses Steve Ballmer’s love for his company. If I were you I’d go and grab a tissue, or a whole box of tissues. It gets emotional. Steve Ballmer has been CEO of Microsoft since January 2000, so he’s been in the game for some time now, letting something go like this must be hard.
Steve plays us out with “I’ve had the time of my life”, which we think is rather appropriate given he has had the time of his life. Check out the video below, and remember those tissues!
