Microsoft confirms ‘Quantum Break’ coming in 2015 to Xbox One

 In News

One of the very first Xbox One games that Microsoft announced during its official introduction to the game console in May 2013 was Quantum Break. It’s the latest third person action game from developer Remedy, the creators of the acclaimed Max Payne and Alan Wake series. Today, Microsoft confirmed that Quantum Break won’t be released for the Xbox One until sometime in 2015.

After several months of waiting, fans of Remedy finally got a new trailer for the game today on the Xbox Wire site, which features the developer’s Creative Director Sam Lake giving some more information about its unique mix of gameplay combined with live action cut-scenes that play out like episodes of a TV show. Lake revealed in the trailer that while the game will center on Quantum Break’s hero Jack Joyce, as he tries to prevent time itself from fracturing, the live action sequences will focus on his enemies at the evil Monarch Solutions.

The player’s actions and choices in Quantum Break will influence how both the game and the TV show sequences unfold, according to Xbox Wire. Microsoft and Remedy will show off Quantum Break’s gameplay live for the first time at August’s Gamescom event in Germany.
