FIFA 13 debuts on Windows Phone 8 as Nokia Lumia exclusive
One of the bright spots in the games that are published by Electronic Arts are its series of FIFA pro soccer titles. The company has had a ton of success worldwide bringing the world of pro soccer (or football in rest of the world) to various gaming platforms. Today, the company released the newest port of its best selling FIFA 13, this time for Windows Phone 8 devices.
The Windows Store website has the information on the Windows Phone 8 version, which at the moment will be an exclusive for Nokia’s family of Lumia smartphones. It’s possible the game will be made available for other Windows Phone 8 products at a later date.
The game’s description says:
Matches come to life with groundbreaking graphics and the most responsive controls ever delivered on Windows Phone 8. Featuring 30 leagues, 500 licensed teams, more than 15,000 players and 32 authentic stadiums!
The price for FIFA 13 is a very reasonable $4.99 to download. There are a few technical points to consider before you download the game. One is that it does require a smartphone with 1 GB of RAM, which means that the Lumia 520, 620 and 720 cannot play the game. Another is that there is no online multiplayer in this version. Finally, the file size for the download is a rather hefty 951 MB.
