The notification pushed to Google Partners appears to just be informational and to be a general message to all publishers. The notification simply reads “Your site’s mobile-friendliness is now considered as a Google Search ranking signal” and offers no further explanation when you click on it.
This message is part of the April 21st mobile-friendly update to the Google Search Algorithm that will be boosting the ranking of mobile-friendly pages on mobile search results, consider this, most of the searches that google gets are coming from mobile devices.
The idea is that users can more easily find high-quality and relevant results where text is readable without tapping or zooming, tap targets are spaced appropriately, and the page avoids unplayable content or horizontal scrolling.
So what happens if your website is not mobile friendly as per the Google guidelines?
